PICTURES FROM MAU

MAU FOREST

Please...please, we need water.
To my brothers and sisters in the Mau forest i salute and respect you.
I would like to bring to your attention the following issues.
  1. More than 40 million desperately need water. This is a requirement for cookingk, drinking, and - - - - -
  2. More than 10 million people are starving to dead because the rains have failed and food sources have been depleted. We love each other and its disheartening to see our fellow countrymen starve for we have collectively failed in bids to secure our nation of this mess.
  3. How faster will you sallow your food if you show a 2 year old child who has gone without food for two weeks die? which level of comfort will you enjoy?

Please our forests are precious and we need to protect them for our own well being. So when you hear kenyans back he idea of evictions please bear with us. by the way whats the point of owning the whole of mau only for the next generation you hand it over to inherits a desert?

We all love a green country and thats why we say LET MAU BE A FOREST.

CENSUS UPDATES

I am one of thosse few kenyans who were against the census idea. I was counted the other day and the questions i was asked left me with different view of the whole census thing.
At first i had thought i will be asked when i was born, how old am i now blah blah!!
I now know that census is important coz data collected is of use to the planning agents.
if you have not been counted please be royal and stand out to be counted.

KENYA GOES TO CENSUS AMID FEARS OF INSECURITY

for the last ten years, kenyans have multiplied (procreated) hence need for census. as a norm, this is done to enable the gorverment plan earlier for various parameters..from ecomic planning, health care to education and many more.
i am one amongs those kenyans who arent sure whether to stand out and be counted.
for one if the enumerators come knocking at night, then trust me my security comes first as i may as well refer them to use the next door.
whats a point in opening you door for census only to enumerate your electronics to gangs? why should i risk attack only to give my tribe and gender plus age?
i wish there was someone to answer my questions but whoever should have is busy elsewhere.
on our radios and tvs is news of kids dying of hunger and malnutrition. lack of food that has taken toll death many kenyans is unimaginable.
honestly can someone kindly reason with me: how do you knock on a dying human being to count them for future planning when they are dying? does it create a great picture? by the the way amongst the questions that should be asked is; how many days do you go without food and water? do you support the eviction of mau settlers?
all the same i wish kenyans safety.
